Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
Al-Qastal News Network stated that 831 extremist settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the past week, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.
The network stated, in a report, that settlers provocatively roamed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa during the incursions, and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern region, coinciding with the spread of the heavily armed occupation forces.
It pointed out that clashes erupted between the Israeli occupation police and the guards, due to a settler’s prayer at the al-Silsilah Gate in a loud and provocative voice.
It reported that a settler assaulted the guard, Samer Abu Qwaider, and instead of arresting the assailant, Abu Qwaider was arrested and taken for interrogation, and then released on the condition that he was banished from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week, subject to renewal.
The Network pointed out that the Israeli occupation police attacked – last Monday – the Muslim worshippers’ arrivals to the occupied city of Jerusalem in order to commemorate the Isra and Mi’raj.
Violent confrontations broke out between Israeli occupation forces and young men at Bab al-Amud, coinciding with the celebrations and the exit of scouts.
According to the Al-Amal Association for Health Services, about 280 Palestinians, including infants, women, and girls, were injured during the confrontations, and the number of arrests reached 22 detainees (all of the children except two), who were severely beaten by the occupation police.
On Friday, Israeli occupation forces and police obstructed the entry of many worshipers from the occupied West Bank to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, after their arrival at its gates.
Al-Qastal camera monitored settlers performing provocative dances, guarded by the occupation police, at the Qattanin Gate, while the young men were prevented from passing for Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The settlers also organized a demonstration at the Western Wall behind the Mughrabi Gate, guarded by the occupation forces, and their voices reached Al-Aqsa.
Al-Qastal network pointed out that the occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Friday, mobilized in the place, and removed a Palestinian flag that the young men hung after Friday prayers on the southern Al-Baika, and arrested a young man.
