The Israeli occupation municipality today, Tuesday, demolished a house and completed the demolition of the foundations of another house in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by municipality crews, stormed the Shiyah area in the Al-Tur neighborhood, east of occupied Jerusalem, and completed the demolition of the foundations of the Burqan family’s home, which it self-demolished about a month ago.

Umm Iyad Burqan told local sources that we were surprised this morning by the bulldozers of the Israeli occupation completing the demolition of the foundations of our two-story house, which we were forced to self-demolish last November, to avoid a fine of 400,000 shekels for demolition costs, but the occupation returned to demolishing its foundations, to force us to pay the costs.
She added, “It is as if the occupation is not enough to demolish our house and displace 20 people, my four sons, and their children. Rather, it wants to fine us the costs of the demolition, by fabricating false pretexts.”
The Israeli occupation forces also demolished a house for the Al-Halisi family near the Mughrabi Gate in Jerusalem, under the pretext of building without a permit.
