DaysofPal- The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Wednesday that eight people, including three children, have died in the past 24 hours due to hunger and malnutrition, which raises the total death toll from famine and malnutrition in Gaza to 235, with 106 children among the victims.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire, as the territory suffers one of the worst crises in its history.
Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been under Israeli blockade and a genocidal campaign by the Israeli occupation.
The Israeli occupation forces continue to impose a policy of starvation and prevent adequate food supplies from entering the region.
Humanitarian aid that does arrive is often distributed unfairly, forcing desperate residents to scramble for food like zombies, with only the strongest able to secure it.
Many are shot or injured while attempting to obtain aid, and local organizations attempting to protect and fairly distribute supplies are reportedly targeted by Israeli forces.
Since March 2, 2025, all crossings into Gaza have been closed, leaving thousands without sufficient food.
Despite trucks of aid waiting at the borders, only limited quantities are allowed to enter, insufficient to meet the basic needs of the population.
This ongoing genocide and starvation by Israeli occupation highlights the severe consequences of the blockade and raises urgent concerns about the humanitarian needs of Gaza’s civilian population.
