53rd Anniversary of Burning Al-Aqsa: Jewish Settlers Continue Their Incursions

Dozens of Israeli Jewish settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces, invaded on Sunday morning the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Department of Islamic Environment in Jerusalem reported that groups of settlers broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, performing provocative rituals. It added that settlers received lectures about their alleged Temple during their provocative tours.

These Israeli incursions with the 53rd anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa mosque by an Australian extremist settler, protected by Israeli occupation forces.

On August 21, 1969, Denis Michael Rohan, set fire to Al-Aqsa Mosque, causing damage to Al-Qibli Mosque and a number of the mosque’s historical furniture.

This anniversary comes this year at a time when the Israeli occupation escalates its attacks against Al-Aqsa Mosque. Since the start of 2022, Al-Aqsa Mosque has been subjected to barbaric attacks and threats by Israeli forces.

Regularly, Israeli settlers carry out provocative incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities impose suffocating restrictions on Muslims’ entry to Al-Aqsa.
