DayofPal– Israeli forces have killed at least 32 Palestinians and wounded 54 in the last 24-hour reporting period, according to the Health Ministry’s latest daily update.
Among the casualties were eight people—many of them children—who were sheltering in the Musa Bin Nusayr School in Gaza City, a temporary refuge for displaced families.
Other five people, including four children, were killed in an Israeli bombing of the Jabalia Al-Nazla area in northern Gaza.
Four more people were killed when an Israeli missile struck this morning a vehicle on Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City. One of the people killed is reported to be the director of government operations in the legislative council in Gaza.
Al-Awda Hospital in Tel Al-Zaatar in the north of Gaza also reported that five people were injuried due to the detonation of bobby traps in the Sheikh Zayed area in northern Gaza. In addition, two martyrs arrived at the Baptist Hospital following an Israeli attack on a group of civilians in the Al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Southern Gaza also bore the brunt of the violence, with five Palestinians killed in separate airstrikes on Rafah and Khan Younis. Hazem Abu Arqoub and his wife were killed in an airstrike targeting his apartment in central Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.
In Deir Al-Balah, 12 people lost their lives to an airstrike on the Abu Samra family home in Deir in central Gaza Strip.
In Beit Lahiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Hussam Abu Safiya, reported that Israeli forces had ordered the evacuation of the medical facility, demanding that patients be transferred to another hospital. However, the evacuation proved nearly impossible, as the staff lacked ambulances to transport the critically ill.
For months now, the Israeli army has bee forcibly displacing Palestinians from northern Gaza, with the residents of Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoun, and Jabalia among those facing the harshest conditions.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has just reported that the total death toll since October 7 last year has risen to 45,259, the ministry said, adding that 107,627 people have also been wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza.
