On May 15th, Civil Defense spokesman in Gaza, Mahmoud Basal, has uncovered facts about the Israeli onslaught on Zaytoun and Sabra areas, east of the Gaza enclave, which has been invaded for the second time.
Basal affirmed that civil defense crews recovered dozens of martyrs from several areas of Zaytoun and Sabra neighborhoods after the partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from the area. The people were deliberately killed during the six-day invasion while being in civilian places such as schools.
Furthermore, Israeli occupation forces attacked abs destroyed more than 200 homes in the Zaytoun neighborhood during the military operation, displacing thousands of Palestinians from their houses to unknown destinations.
Among the infrastructure that was severely affected was UNRWA-run Al-Sabra health clinic, which was housing a number of displaced people, where crews recovered more than 14 martyrs and a number of wounded people who fell victim to Israeli occupation forces direct bombardment.
As part of their deliberate target of humanitairian health centers, the Israeli occupation forces annihilated the only health clinic in the Zaytoun neighborhood as well as the only clinic in the Sabra neighborhood, preventing people from getting access to zero near healthcare centers.
According to recent statistics of Government Media office in Gaza, the Israeli army has executed 3123 massacres, resulting in the killing and missing of 45,091 Palestinians, including 35,091 martyrs who were reported in hospitals, and other 10,000 Palestinians who are still missed under the rubble or reported abducted by the army. In addition, 520 Gazans were exhumed from 7 mass graves dug inside different hospitals’ courtyards.
186 government headquarters were destroyed by the Israeli airstrikes or tanks’ attacks. (103, 247, 86000) of schools and universities, mosques, and housing unites, respectively, were completely destroyed, according to the office.
‘Israel’ is facing charges of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and has also laid waste to large swathes of the besieged enclave, devastating everything from housing to medical facilities, educational institutes and civilian infrastructure.
