Palestinians in Rafah watch in fear as Israeli occupation surveillance drone have been intensively hovering over the city with a notable rise in Israeli massacres against the displaced Palestinians there.
“We’ve been hearing this buzzing since the early hours of this morning,” Al Jazeera correspondent in Rafah, said, mentioning that this could indicate that the city could face further “intensification” of Israeli military attacks.
Despite that roughly 1.5 million Palestinians are seeking refuge in the area, the correspondent mentioned that the area has already endured heavy bombardments and that the increased surveillance might also signal “a potential military incursion” similar to the ground operations in Khan Younis.
In the last 24 hours, Israeli airstikes killed 26 Palestinians in Rafah, including 16 children and five women. The martyrs are 20 from Abdula’l family, 4 from Jouda family, one from Al-bahabsa family, and one was just shot dead by Israeli sniper in Shouka area east of Rafah.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu recently announced that the Israeli occupation forces will increase the pressure on “Hamas in the coming days”, confirming that a date was set for a military invasion into the city.
