An American statement revealed the conclusion that shooting from Israeli army positions was “likely” responsible for the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh, but there was “no reason to believe” that her killing was premeditated, but rathas a result of “tragic circumstances.”

A statement issued by the US State Department said that the US Security Council, after a “very detailed” criminal analysis, was unable to reach a definitive conclusion regarding the origin of the bullet that killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.

“After an extremely detailed forensic analysis, independent, third-party examiners, as part of a process overseen by the U.S. Security Coordinator (USSC), could not reach a definitive conclusion regarding the origin of the bullet that killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh,” State Department spokesperson Ned Price said in a statement.

He stated that ballistics experts concluded that the bullet was “badly” damaged, which “prevented a clear conclusion.”

In addition to forensic and ballistic analysis, the US Security Council has been granted full access to the investigations of both the Israeli military and the Palestinian Authority over the past several weeks.

and concluding that the Akleh was probably murdered by Israeli gunfire and, in a not too novel move, absolved the Israeli occupation of any responsibility by claiming that there was no reason to assume that the murder was premeditative as it took false implying that Akela had died in some sort of a crossfire; a narrative that have been proven wrong once and once again through eyewitnesses, major media platforms analysis. analysis of various footage ametadataata

“By summarizing both investigations, the USSC concluded that gunfire from IDF positions was likely responsible for the death of Shireen Abu Akleh. The USSC found no reason to believe that this was intentional but rather the result of tragic circumstances during an IDF-led military operation against factions of Palestinian Islamic Jihad on May 11, 2022, in Jenin, which followed a series of terrorist attacks in Israel.”

this stance doesn’t come as much of a surprise to the Palestinian peopdespite despite the numerous analyses and testimonials that support the narrative that AAkelalea was targeted along with her crew by Israeli gun fire.

a crime that was recorded on cameras and went viral online only to be followed by a more grotesque one of the journalist’s funeral, the image of her pallbearers unarmed and assaulted, her grave almost flown. the footage was recorded for the world by several of journalists who have been targeted through the years only for broadcasting the truth, the truth that simply wasn’t convenient for Israel.

Yaser Murtaja a Palestinian photographer who was targeted as he was covering the peaceful sit-ins during the return march of Palestinians. He was shot in the chest by an Israeli sniper while covering a demonstration on Friday, April 6, 2018.

Just last year the buildings of Ap and Aljazeera were premeditatively targeted in the cruel assault on Gaza and USSC finds no reason to believe that the assassination of Akela was intentional.

On the same day, France 24 journalist @lailaodeh4 was the target of insults and live projectiles. These actions against reporters are intolerable!https://t.co/SGiSwVTLSc
