Northern Gaza: Israeli warplanes bombed the Kamal Adwan Hospital

DaysofPal- The United Nations has warned of a growing risk of collapse in both healthcare and water services in the Gaza Strip, as the humanitarian crisis deepens and pressure on critical infrastructure intensifies amid ongoing Israeli bombing and suffocating siege.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said the healthcare system in Gaza is under immense strain, calling for the urgent entry of medical supplies and essential materials to prevent further deterioration.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 22 Israeli attacks targeting the healthcare sector in Gaza have been recorded, affecting the operation of hospitals and medical transport services.

The United Nations also highlighted a worsening water crisis, noting that three out of every four households in Gaza now rely on trucked water supplies.

The situation is further aggravated by shortages of fuel and maintenance materials, which threaten to halt water services and the operation of electricity generators.

According to UN data, more than one-third of requests by patients seeking medical treatment outside Gaza have been either denied or delayed since the beginning of the year, adding to the suffering of the wounded and those in need of urgent care.

The UN reiterated its call for immediate action to address the crisis, warning that continued Israeli restrictions and shortages could lead to catastrophic consequences for Gaza’s civilian population.
