United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland warned Friday, 16 September 2022 against further deterioration of the security situation and the unacceptable daily loss of life in the Occupied West Bank.
In a tweet on his Twitter feed, Wennesland expressed his deep concern about the deteriorating security situation and the unacceptable daily loss of life in the Occupied West Bank.
“There can be no winners if the current violence continues to escalate. Civilians continue to pay the price for political failure”, he said.
Tor Wennesland elaborated that violence and use of force only perpetuate the crisis and must cease.

Palestinian towns and villages in the occupied West Bank have seen increased raids by Israeli occupation forces in recent months.
It is noteworthy that 97 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2022, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
