Two prisoners from Tulkarem and the Gaza Strip entered today, Saturday, December 10, 2022, new years in the Israeli occupation prisons said Abdel Nasser Farwana, the head of the Studies and Documentation Unit in the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
He explained in a brief press statement today that the prisoner, Raef Ramez Al-Farra, 47, from the Gaza Strip, entered today his 19th consecutive year in the occupation prisons.
He pointed out that the prisoner Al-Farra is sentenced to life imprisonment, and he has been detained since December 11, 2004.
It is noteworthy that the number of detainees in the Gaza Strip is about 190, the oldest of whom is the detainee, Diaa al-Agha, who has been detained for more than 30 years.
Farwana added that the prisoner Omar Mahmoud Basis, 57, from Tulkarem, entered his 21st year inside the Israeli occupation prisons today.
The number of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons is 4650 detainees, including 32 female detainees, most of them are detained in Damon Prison in Haifa, 175 minors, and 730 administrative detainees, according to Palestinian statistics.
