Tunisia has strongly condemned what it called Israel’s systematic escalation of genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip, accusing the Israeli occupation of deliberately targeting Palestinians’ right to life and attempting to break their will and force them off their land.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tunisian government described the ongoing Israeli attacks as the latest episode in a decades-long series of crimes. It warned that these assaults are growing more violent and brutal, aiming to impose a new reality by force—at the expense of international law and basic human conscience.
Tunisia also condemned Israel’s continued military operations and the obstruction of humanitarian aid, saying such actions reveal a deliberate strategy to prolong the catastrophe and derail any international efforts to stop the assault.
“The continuation of this bloodshed and the denial of humanitarian access point to a premeditated intent to worsen the crisis,” the statement read.
Calling for an immediate and effective international response, Tunisia urged the global community to take urgent steps to end the violence and ensure the protection of civilians in Gaza.
As of today, the war on Gaza has entered its 592nd day, with Israeli forces continuing what Tunisia and many others describe as a campaign of collective punishment and mass killing. The onslaught, heavily backed by U.S. military and political support, unfolds amid a deafening silence and unprecedented failure from the international community to intervene.
