Marking Land Day, thousands of people took to the streets of the British capital on Saturday, March 30, to protest against the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza and to call for an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
The angry protesters gathered in central Russell Square for the 11th national march in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, where nearly 33,000 people have been murdered by Israeli assaults since Oct. 7.
Raising Palestinian flags and chanting for Gazens, the protesters demand an immediate cease-fire, meanwhile, criticizing the British government’s stance on ‘Israel’ by saying “Rishi Sunak, you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide.”
Protesters from various anti-Israel Jewish groups were participating in the rally. However, a small group of pro-Israeli protesters staged a demonstration along the march route to cause disturbances.
‘Israel’ has waged a fatal unprecedented genocidal war on Gaza since a 7-October Hamas-led attack, claiming the lives of 32,700 Palestinians, mostly women and children, in addition to mass destruction, displacement of 3.2 million Palestinians and sever famine conditions in the north. Since then, ‘Israel’ has been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
