The Israeli Occupation Arrests 20 Palestinians From Various Areas in the West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign and raids in separate areas of the occupied West Bank, at dawn and this morning that resulted in 20 arrests.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested a freed prisoner from the city of Tubas, where the freed prisoner, Munir Ibrahim Fuqaha (28 years), was arrested after raiding and searching his family’s house.

From Ramallah, the occupation forces arrested: Muhammad al-Safi from Sarda, north of Ramallah, Sheikh Muhammad Kharoub, the liberated prisoner Youssef Gwanmeh, Muhammad Nakhleh, and the liberated prisoner Youssef Ihab al-Zubaidi, all of them from the Jalazun camp, in addition to the arrest of the liberated prisoner Ali Zahi al-Barghouti from Cooper Town.

The occupation forces also arrested the child Mustafa Amer Sabah, the boy Muhammad Yassin Sabah, Omar Dhiab al-Amour, Marwan Nayef Hamid, Ahmed Ali Sabah, and Ibrahim Samir Sabah, all from Tekoa, east of Bethlehem.

In Nablus, the occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Furik at dawn today, Tuesday, and raided a house, and arrested Kazem Murad Hanani, while the occupation forces raided several houses in Balata refugee camp, whose owners were identified by Muhammad Abu Dhra’, and wreaked havoc there, while the two young men, Ahmed and Muhammad Abu Dhra’, were arrested. They were later released.

It is noteworthy that the Palestinian prisoners’ institutions stated in their monthly report that the Zionist occupation authorities arrested, during the month of May 2022, 690 Palestinians from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including (76) children and (19) women, and it is the second The highest rate of arrests since the beginning of this year after last April recorded 1,228 arrests. Arrests in Jerusalem constituted the highest percentage each month, followed by Hebron, Jenin, and Bethlehem.

According to the report, May 2022, as an extension of what April 2022 witnessed, witnessed a high intensity of violations and crimes carried out by the occupation, including field executions, house demolitions, the policy of collective punishment, and the implementation of more organized arrests, which It was accompanied by grave violations against the detainees and their families, and the occupation authorities reached their violations and reprisals after transferring them to investigation and detention centers, in addition to recording various injuries, including severe ones among the detainees, shot by the occupation army.
