Israeli settlers, accompanied by the Israeli occupation army on Monday, bulldozed large areas of the Palestinian lands near “Yitzhar” settlement, south of Nablus in West Bank.
The Director General of Publication and Documentation in the “Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission”, Qassem Awad, stated that about 50 dunums are located at the bottom of the mountain on which “Yitzhar” is located.
He added that the settlers have recently established a number of settlement units in the area, and are seeking to seize large areas of the mountain lands which belonging to the Palestinians in of Burin, Hawara and Asira al-Qibliya villages and towns, stressing that this area was seized by the settlements decades ago.
Awad explained that all of this comes in the context of land seizure and transformation of the West Bank into isolated compounds.
