The Israeli occupation has long been peddling about its robust and well-functioning democracy; however, some global and domestic news popped out from the Israeli media under power of the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new far-right government would profoundly challenge their persistent narrative and refute the false propaganda about ‘Israel’.
A recent video published by the Israeli blogger Yair Navot documented the scale to which Israeli settlers’ outlaw and uncivilized behaviours have appreciably reflected the false propaganda Israeli occupation is branching out about its people.
In the video which swept social media, a bus was screened in a horribly chaos state with a copious amount of waste scattered onboard the bus by Israeli settlers who were heading to the city of Uman in Ukraine to mark their annual pilgrimage.
In his tweet that contained the video, Navot expressed his overwhelming resentment over such publically uncivilized behaviours, describing settlers as “disgusting”, and adding “in spite of this “disgusting, but it has to be shown. This happens during the day”.
These scenes prompted social networks in Ukraine to document the “filth and dirt” left by the settlers who came to enjoy in Uman, he stated. “This dirt level is just crazy. Why behave in such a way in a foreign host country?” he wondered.
The same settlers ramped up their “dirt” when they landed in Ukraine. But their behaviours didn’t go unnoticed by the Ukrainian authorities which immediately took at least seven Israelis in custody on Friday for being involved in a fatal car crash, others were also picked up for drug violations.
While on their way to Uman for the annual pilgrimage to the grave of the Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, three settlers crashed a woman’s car near Vinnytsia resulting in the death of a Ukrainian, according to the Ynet Israeli newspaper.
Israeli settlers’ racism refutes what Israeli occupation has long chanted for in the international community summits about holding a democratic state for all people in the lands under its rules.
Another video published by the Activistills Organization revealed Israeli settlers harassing Palestinians and throwing insults and violent threats such as “the second Nakba is coming”, “Your religion is rubbish” “A good Arab is a dead Arab”, and “Jews are beloved” against Palestinians in the old city of Jerusalem.
Israeli outlets are filled with some stories that prove Israel’s racism against the Palestinian people, in particular, residents of 1948-occupied lands. An article described a maternity ward in which a Palestinian woman from Nazareth was persuaded to move rooms after a Jewish woman complained about sharing the same space with a non-Jew.
Another showed how Israel’s Supreme Court approved the forceful expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in eight villages and the Israeli military’s demand to hold regular training exercises in that same area.
