The Arab Parliament condemned Sunday, September 17, the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli settlers, protected by the Israeli occupation forces, and the assault on worshipers at Al-Aqsa and the arrest of a number of them.
“The settlers’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron undermines the chances of peace and threatens security and stability in the region,” said the Parliament.
The Arab Parliament has called upon the international community and the United Nations to take immediate action in fulfilling their responsibilities, preserving freedom of worship and the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and not allowing settlers to desecrate it.
This morning, 303 colonial settlers, including the extremist Yehuda Glick, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under high protection from the occupation forces to mark the so-called “Hebrew New Year.”
Conversely, the Israeli occupation forces have significantly heightened their oppressive tactics at the entrances of Al-Aqsa Mosque, ruthlessly barring Palestinians under the age of 50 from accessing the holy site and unleashing savage assaults on men and women stationed at Bab al-Silsilah.
