Israeli settlers attacked and physically assaulted on Thursday, October 5, 2023, two Palestinian shepherds in the village of Al-Rashayda, east of Bethlehem.
Local sources reported that a group of Israeli settlers attacked Akab Hashem Rashayda and Sanda Awda Rashayda while they were tending to their sheep in a land close to the “Ma’ale Amos” settlement, which is built on Palestinian-owned land.
Palestinian shepherds were physically assaulted by the settlers, resulting in injuries and bruises. The two shepherds were ultimately forced to leave the area under the threat of weapons.
Settlers, often protected by Israeli occupation forces, have escalated their violations against shepherds in the eastern region, specifically in the villages of Kisan and Al-Rashayda.
These violations include pursuing and assaulting shepherds, preventing them from accessing grazing areas and imposing fines, as has happened to other residents of Kisan.
