The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated Sunday morning, October 2nd, 2022 that the the Israeli occupation violations against its crews have become almost a daily routine in various areas of the occupied Palestinian territory.
They also added that although all of its crews and vehicles clearly bear the emblem of the Red Crescent and perform its emergency medical tasks, they are always being the target of Israeli occupation forces.
The society emphasized that it follows with great seriousness the attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers, who assaulted two of its crews while performing their humanitarian work this morning at the military checkpoint established at the entrance to the town of Beit Furik, east of occupied Nablus.
Two volunteers Mohammad Baara and Firas Al-Baz were assaulted by the occupation soldiers who took out weapons in their faces and beat them with their hands and feet, and with a rifle on the head of one of them, which led to severe injuries.
The Society indicated that the number of violations committed last year against the Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s crews and vehicles in the occupied Palestinian territory were up to 103 violations, distributed as 32 violations against the Society’s ambulances.
Adding to the list, 20 cases of obstruction of ambulances and preventing them from reaching their destination. 11 cases of obstruction of the tasks of the association’s crews, 35 violations against the association’s employees and volunteers, 5 violations against the association’s facilities and buildings, and one arrest case.
