Qatar has expressed on Saturday, October 7, 2023, deep concern over the evolving situation in the Gaza Strip and has called on all parties to cease escalation and exercise maximum restraint.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today, holding Israel solely responsible for the ongoing escalation due to its continuous violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, including the recent repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of Israeli forces.

The ministry emphasized the urgent need for the international community to compel Israel to cease its blatant violations of international law, respect international legitimacy decisions, and uphold the historical rights of the Palestinian people.
They stressed the importance of preventing these events from serving as a pretext for igniting an unequal new war against Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
