Qatar’s Ministry of foreign affairs condemned on Friday, December 30, the recent Israeli settlement plans under the rule of the new right-wing government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a statement on Twitter, the Qatari foreign affairs issued strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli settlements plans aiming at developing the settlement expansion and Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The statement added that the Israeli settlement expansion poses a blatant assault on the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter, the principles of international law, and United Nations resolutions.
In addition, Qatar called on the International Community to shoulder its responsibility to stop the Israeli ongoing policy of settlement in the Palestinian territory in favor of Jewish settlers.
Last Thursday, the Israeli Knesset passed a vote of confidence in right-wing Netanyahu’s government. 63 of the parliament members voted in favor while 54 voted against it.
