The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club held on Monday the Israeli prison administration fully responsible for the fate of the injured child, Hassan Walid Sabarna (17 years old), from Hebron.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, Sabarna suffered lung bleeding and rib fractures as a result of the injury, leading to multiple surgical procedures. His condition was described as critical, and he continues to require intense medical care.
The Prisoners’ Club confirmed that Hassan Sabarna has been in detention since he was 15 years old, having been arrested three times before. The most recent arrest took place on August 3rd, despite him already being severely injured in July of the previous year.
The statement further emphasized that the Israeli occupation continues to escalate its arrest operations, targeting all categories of people, including the wounded, among them children.
The total number of arrests since the beginning of the current year has reached more than 4400, including 619 children.
