Marking the National Day to retrieve bodies of victims held by Israeli Occupation, Palestinians held on Sunday, 27 August 2023 a symbolic funeral procession in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

Local Palestinian sources reported dozens of Palestinian families held a symbolic funeral procession for their sons who were killed and withheld by the Israeli occupation.

The families called on Israeli authorities to immediately release the bodies of their sons so that their families could bury them with national dignity.

Israeli occupation continues to hold the bodies of Palestinian prisoners and has refused to return them to their relatives for burial.

Israeli occupation withheld the bodies of about 398 Palestinians killed by its forces, according to the coordinator of the national campaign to recover the bodies of the saints held by the Israeli occupation, Hussein Shujaia.

Among the total number of Palestinians whose bodies are held by Israeli occupation are 11 detainees who lost their lives inside the Israeli jails due to deliberate medical negligence, in addition to 14 children.
