The Palestinian young man Habib Mohammad Ikmail, 25, from the town of Qabatiya, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, succumbed to his wounds Thursday, January 12, 2022 after being shot during an Israeli military raid in the region.
Ikmail was earlier shot in the head by Israeli soldiers and reported in critical condition once he was moved to a hospital in Jenin and then he was reported killed as a result of his wounds, according to the Ministry of Health.
Local sources from Qabatiya said that Israeli soldiers raided the town and surrounded a house of an activist and during the raid, a heavy exchange of gunfire was reported leading to two critical injuries from IOF’s gunfire, one of them later died.
Ikmail is the second Palestinian to be shot and killed today by Israeli soldiers and the eighth since the start of the year.
