S.K | DOP -

The Palestinian Prisoner Club stated Wednesday, March 23, 2023 that the Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan from occupied Jenin continues his open hunger strike for the 47th day in a row, in protest of his illegal detention.

The Palestinan prisoner, Adnan, suffers from difficult health conditions, and is currently detained in the clinic of the Israeli occupation Ramla Hospital.

The health condition of the prisoner Adnan has been deteriorating for months, as he lost much of his weight, still vomiting blood, and signs of rash started to appear on his skin, in addition to unbearable pain in his joints.

On February 5, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) re-arrested Adnan from his home in the town of Arraba in occupied Jenin Governorate, that he immediately declared his hunger strike from day one. IOF detained Adnan by searching and vandalising his house.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces has detained the Palestinian prisoner Adnan (12) times, and spent a total of about eight years inside Israeli prisons, most of which were under administrative detention.

Note that Israeli occupation detains 4,500 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli occupation prisons, including 400 who have severe and chronic illnesses, 31 women, and 500 administrative detainees.
