Palestinian prisoner Sadiq Hamed Al-Zaru, entered on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, his 22nd year behind bars in Israeli occupation prisons.
Al-Zaru, 63 years old, hailing from Hebron, was arrested in 2002 and has since been subjected to a prolonged and rigorous interrogation period, followed by a 30-year prison sentence by the Israeli occupation authorities.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club revealed that Al-Zaru has endured years of strenuous interrogation during his detention.
Eventually, he was sentenced by the Israeli occupation to serve a 30-year term in prison.
Al-Zaru, who suffers from several chronic illnesses, has been a victim of medical negligence, also referred to as “slow death,” by the Israeli prison administration.
Despite his health conditions, Al-Zaru’s determination remains unbroken. He is a father to 18 sons and daughters and has been denied regular visits with his family during his years of incarceration.
His family has expressed concerns over his well-being, as he struggles with deteriorating health without proper medical attention.
