American-Palestinian Organizations, active in the American arena, announced their solidarity with the congresswoman of Somali origin, Ilhan Omar.
This solidarity comes after the threats of congress members from the Republican Party to expel Omar from the congressional committees due to her comments against ‘Israel’ through the past years, which are considered “anti-Semitic.”
The organizations expressed, in a statement, their standing and fighting alongside Omar against the threats of the Republican leader in the House of Representatives Kevin Mccarthy, the aspirant to take up the House of Representatives Speaker, in press releases to expel her from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
This follows the Republican Party gaining at least 218 seats of the 435-member House of Representatives.
Omar managed to win the congressional membership for the third time successively as a Democratic candidate for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District.
