The Palestinian freedom fighter Imad Fahal, who is incarcerated inside Israeli jails, has been on hunger strike for the fifth day in a row demanding an end to his isolation and to be transferred to the wards in the Naqab detention center, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission.
According t0 the Commission statement, the Palestinian freedom fighter Fahal, from the village of Kobar, near Ramallah, is kept in isolation at Ayalon prison, which has a reputation as one of the worst jails in Israel.
Conditions there are very harsh, including ill-treatment from the prison guards, who constantly storm the prison cells and frighten Palestinian prisoners.
It’s noteworthy that the Palestinian prisoner Fahal was first arrested in 2012 for the way he resisted the Israeli occupation and was sentenced to 26 years in prison.
