DayofPal– The echoes of Israeli assaults in the occupied West Bank claimed another young life on Friday, as seven-year-old Saddam Hussein Iyad Rajab succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted by Israeli forces last week.
Rajab, a resident of Kafr Al-Labad, was critically injured on January 28 while inside his grandfather’s house in Tulkarm refugee camp. Despite medical efforts, the child did not survive.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue their military offensive in Tulkarm, flooding the area with reinforcements and converting Palestinian homes into military outposts after forcing families out.
The offensive has left neighborhoods in turmoil, with residents facing relentless raids and sieges amid barrage of gunfire.
At Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, Israeli soldiers have tightened their grip, searching patients, checking IDs, and even forcing individuals to lift their clothes in invasive inspections.
Just a short distance away, Israeli troops have occupied the Adawiya commercial complex, turning it into a military surveillance post.
As the humanitarian crisis deepens, local authorities in Tulkarm Governorate have launched the “Dignity and Relief Committee” to provide aid to displaced families.
Officials have called for urgent donations, warning that conditions are rapidly deteriorating.
The ongoing assault is part of Israel’s “Iron Wall” operation, a large-scale military campaign targeting northern West Bank cities, including Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas.
The Israeli army’s ongoing assault on the occupied West Bank has displaced at least 26,000 Palestinians from their homes in the Jenin and Tulkarm refugee camps since last month, according to local officials and humanitarian organizations.
Continuous displacement has been ongoing for eight days in Tulkarm refugee camp, with more than 1,500 families forcibly displaced.
With tensions at a boiling point and civilian casualties mounting, the people of Tulkarm brace for an uncertain and perilous future.
