Palestinian detainee Khader Adnan entered on Monday, February 20, 2023, his 16th day of hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention.
Palestinian media sources said that Adnan, an ex-detainee, entered today his 16th day of hunger strike, to protest his illegal detention without charge or trial.
Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli occupation court extended the detention of prisoner Khader Adnan until next Sunday, Palestinian sources reported.
Israeli occupation forces kidnapped Khader Adnan on February 5 after invading his home in occupied Jenin, the Palestinian prisoners’ Society PPS said.
The PPS pointed out that prisoner Adnan was arrested 12 times, and spent a total of about eight years in Israeli prisons. He was held under administrative detention during most of his arrests.
It added that Prisoner Adnan had gone through five previous hunger strikes in Israeli prisons, including four strikes against his administrative detention.
