Days of Palestine – Gaza
The Israeli occupation army on Sunday night launched aerial attacks on the Gaza Strip, causing material damage to the bombed sites.
According to local sources, warplanes fired several missiles at a swath of agricultural land in as-Sudaniya area in the northwest of Gaza and a resistance site in the east of Khan Yunis.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army decided to reduce the fishing zone in Gaza waters from 12 nautical miles to six nautical miles.
The Israeli army claimed the measure was in retaliation for the launching of incendiary balloons from the coastal enclave into Israeli territory, adding that the decision would be effective immediately until further notice.
Incendiary balloons from Gaza on Sunday allegedly triggered three fires in a small Israeli area in Eshkol, according to the Israeli side.
However, the flying of balloons carrying incendiaries towards Israel has always been seen as a means of protest against Israel’s failure to honor previous ceasefire understandings on Gaza and its violations against the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
