Days of Palestine -

Days of Palestine – Ramallah

14 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails have been on open-ended hunger strike for several days in protest at their detention administratively, with no indictments or trials.

The hunger-striking prisoners are Salem Zaidat, Mohamed A’amar, Mujahed Hamed, Mahmoud al-Fasfous, Kayed al-Fasfous, Ra’fat al-Darawish, Guevara an-Nammoura, Maher Dalaysha, Aladdin Khaled, Ahmed Abdul-Rahman, Mohamed Khaled, Husam Rab’iee, Fadi al-Amour, Ahmed Nazzal.

They are being held in different jails, namely Negev, Ramon, Ofer and Megiddo.

Most of the administrative detainees, nearly 540 Palestinians, are ex-detainees who already spent years in Israeli jails.

Administrative detention is incarceration without trial or charge and is widely used by Israel against the Palestinians solely at the pretext that a person plans to commit a future offense. It has no time limit, and it is based on alleged secret files.
