The Ministry of Health in Gaza condemned today, Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting health institutions, the last of which was a short while ago targeting the Al-Daraj Martyrs’ Health Center with two aircraft missiles, which caused severe damage to the center and halted work in the center

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Health, they called on international institutions to urgently intervene to neutralize and protect health staff and institutions and to criminalize those aggressive practices against our people and their civil and health institutions.

The Ministry of Information Government Media Office in Gaza Saturday released a report about the outcome of the continuous Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry said that the Israeli occupation military launched about 1050 airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip targetting civilians, residential homes, and governmental facilities.

The report confirmed that the death toll from the Israeli aggressin of six days climbed to 139 including 39 children, 22 women, and 2 elderly men, and about 1000 others wounded according to Gaza’s Ministry Health.

The Ministry said the Israeli occupation aggression has led to severe damages estimated at 155 Million dollars as 719 residential units were damaged totally and 4271 residential units were slightly damaged.

They added that 76 residential towers and buildings were totally destroyed in which last of them was Al-Jalaa’s residential tower, in addition to 63 governmental facilities were bombed as well.

“Thirty-four schools and primary health care clinics were damaged and 23 media institutions were totally destroyed,” The Ministry affirmed in the report.

Damages of 10 million dollars in farmlands and animal barns were bombed by Israeli warplanes and several economical facilities, including 4 local banks were destroyed cost 20 million dollars, the report added.

It added that over 120 private cars were destroyed cost of damages is 5 million dollars and the cost of damages in the energy sector and telecommunication is 12 million and 100,000 dollars.

Israeli warplanes launched a series of air raids on various areas in the besieged enclave that started with fatal strikes in the northern city of Beit Hanun.

Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza had fired a barrage of rockets at Israeli targets earlier on Monday in retaliation to the Israeli attacks on the Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in Occupied East Jerusalem over the past few days.

Tensions have been running high in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of East Jerusalem since last week after an Israeli court ordered the evictions of Palestinian families.

Palestinians protesting in solidarity with residents of Sheikh Jarrah have been targeted by Israeli forces. ​​​​​​

Israel occupied East Jerusalem during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war and annexed the entire city in 1980 – a move that has never been recognized by the international community.
