Days of Palestine – Jericho

The Israeli occupation forces today, Tuesday, raided the house of the leader of the Hamas movement, the prisoner in the occupation's jail, Sheikh Shaker Amara, in Aqbat Jaber camp in Jericho.

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the house of the leader, searched it and vandalized its contents, knowing that he is an administrative prisoner in the occupation prisons since May of 2020.,

It is noteworthy that Amara is one of the leaders of the Hamas movement in the city of Jericho and one of the reform men, and he is a former prisoner who was arrested more than 13 times by the Israeli occupation, all of which were under administrative detention, and he was one of the deportees to Marj al-Zuhur in 1992.

Hamas nominated the leader Amara on its electoral list, "Al-Quds Our Destination" for the 2021 Palestinian Legislative Council elections.

Earlier last night, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the liberated prisoner and the leader of Hamas, Najeh Asi, from his home in Al-Bireh. He is a representative and a candidate for the "Al-Quds Our Destination" electoral list.

The recent period has witnessed the arrest of the occupation forces of many leaders of Hamas and its members, coinciding with the preparation for holding the legislative elections that were agreed to be held during the next month.
