Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
Today, Friday, nine Palestinian citizens, including a photojournalist, were injured during the Israeli occupation forces' suppression of the weekly nonviolent protest against settlements in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) reported that nine civilians were injured, four of them with rubber-coated bullets, among them Al-Quds newspaper photographer Mahmoud Elyan, and five others as a result of the occupation police's beating and assaulting of them.
The participants demanded a halt to the decisions of the occupation courts ruling on the eviction and displacement of the families of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood from their homes in favor of settler organizations.
