Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
The Israeli occupation authorities yesterday evening, Tuesday, forced the Jerusalemite citizen Moataz Khalil to demolish his home, in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood, near the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to local sources, Khalil proceeded with his brothers this evening to demolish the house that was built about 10 years ago, and he lives in it with his wife and two children, to avoid the exorbitant demolition costs.
The sources added that the Israeli occupation municipality imposed heavy irregularities on Khalil, claiming that his house was built without a permit, the last of which was his payment of 24,000 shekels.
