Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in Ramallah said that the Israeli occupation continued its policy of closing the city of Jerusalem and restricting the number of worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque while allowing herds of settlers to storm it.
Today, Monday, a report issued by the Awqaf documented 22 stormings of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the month of January 2021.
The report revealed that the Israeli occupation continued its aggression against the Ibrahimi Mosque, and it prevented it from raising the call to prayer 50 times, and the Israeli occupation demolished the Umm Qasah Mosque in Masafer Yatta.
The report added that the Israeli occupation took advantage of the coronavirus pandemic to limit the number of worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque, especially on Fridays.
It also explained that the so-called Temple groups have presented the occupation government with a proposal to present it to the Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem, to dismantle the Dome of the Rock mosque to establish the "alleged temple. "
The report pointed to the activities of extremists in performing Talmudic prayers and rituals in the eastern squares of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and repeated stopping there, under the pretext of rest.
It indicated that extremist groups demanded the building of a Talmudic school in the eastern square of Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to facilitate the storming of Al-Aqsa and to perform Talmudic rituals there.
In a serious encroachment, Israeli surveyors, under the protection of the Israeli police, conducted surveys and took measurements in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and in the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock, according to the report.
The report stated that this month witnessed the prevention of members and officers from the special units, the staff of the Reconstruction Committee of the Islamic Endowments Department, from carrying out maintenance and restoration work in all sections of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It added that in the course of the excavation work and Judaization, the occupation authorities continued excavation work to implement their projects inside Al-Buraq squares."
With regard to the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the city of Hebron, the Israeli occupation prevented the call to prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque for 50 times.
The Israeli occupation prevented the Hebron Reconstruction Committee from completing the restoration of the "Ibrahimi Mosque", and extended the closure of the Temple Mount for 5 more days, claiming to confront the coronavirus, after it closed it 15 days earlier.
