Days of Palestine – Ramallah
A media campaign was launched on Saturday entitled "Birds in jails," aimed at supporting the cause of Palestinian children prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails, and highlighting their suffering and the violations committed against them.
The campaign was launched by MA students in the field of contemporary public relations at the Arab American University, said in a press release that it focuses on two main dimensions in this issue which are the humanitarian and the legal, especially as the Israeli occupation is trying in various ways and methods through arrest, torture, and intimidation to destroy the morale of the Palestinian generations.
They indicated that the campaign would focus on the legal aspect of arresting children, by introducing the provisions of the UN conventions that called for the child's right to protection, security, and safety.
The campaign indicated that it will be in the Arabic language, and will include a variety of media, visual, audio, and written, in addition to an infographic, brochures that inform children of prisoners, and the violations they are exposed to.
The campaign called on the public and activists to interact with it and tweet through their accounts on social networking sites.
The campaign will be launched through a special page on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, in addition to traditional media, and will be implemented with a number of partner institutions.
