Days of Palestine – Ramallah
Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said today that 23 deaths from COVID-19, 822 new infections and 1405 recoveries were registered in Palestine during the last 24 hours.
In her daily report on the COVID-19 pandemic, she said 15 people died of the coronavirus in the West Bank, while eight died in the Gaza Strip.
On the geographic distribution of the new cases, Alkaila noted that 59 infections were registered in Ramallah, (37) in Hebron, (63) in Nablus, (25) in Jenin, (46) in Tulkarm, (24) in Bethlehem, (17) in Salfit, (11) in Tubas, (20) in Qalqilia, (6) in Jericho, and (15) in the West Bank side of the Jerusalem Governorate. In the Gaza Strip, a total of 499 new cases were registered.
Al-Kailah added that the new cases of recovery were distributed in the governorates according to the following: Tulkarm (55), Qalqilya (22), Salfit (23), Nablus (266), Tubas (20), Jericho (12), Bethlehem (41), and Hebron ( 79), Jenin (97), Gaza Strip (790).
She said that 105 COVID-19 patients are currently under intensive care, of whom 25 are on ventilators.
The rate of recoveries is currently 88.6 percent of the total cases recorded since the outbreak in Palestine in March, 10.4 percent remain active, and 1 percent have died.
