Days of Palestine – Gaza
Hamas movement on Thursday mourned the South African human rights activist and cleric Dr. Clint Le Bruyns who was a prominent activist in opposing the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
Dr. Basim Naim, a member of the International Relations Office of Hamas, said in a statement that his movement is deeply saddened by the death of the human rights activist Le Bruyns.
He added that he was a loyal activist of justice, and had fought for decades for justice in the social, economic, and political spheres across South Africa and the world, including opposing the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
Naim pointed out that Dr. Clint Le Bruyns participated in 2015 in the Freedom Flotilla, which was trying to break the Israeli siege on Gaza, and worked for many years and communicated with the Christian community in Palestine to highlight the Israeli discriminatory policies against Christians.
Naim wished his family and friends strength and patience to endure this loss and sent the people of South Africa sincere condolences and solidarity over this great loss.
