The Hamas Movement congratulated the Gulf Cooperation Council on the progress achieved in the Kuwaiti-sponsored reconciliation efforts that ended the rift between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and led to the reopening of the borders between the two countries.
In a statement on Monday, Hamas expressed hope that the Gulf Cooperation Council would work on ending the crisis completely and restoring its unity and cooperation, which it said would contribute to the hoped-for unity of the Arab position.
The Movement called for launching a wider regional dialog to address all the differences between the Arab and Islamic countries, hoping that 2021 would be the year of achieving Palestinian national unity.
