The Commission of Detainees Affairs said that the Israeli occupation authorities are holding 36 female prisoners inside the "Damon" prison, under harsh conditions.
The Commission stated in a press release today, Sunday, that among the female detainees, there are 24 who have been sentenced to varied sentences, the highest of which reaches 16 years, 9 are detained with no trials, and 3 are under administrative detention.
It added that among the detainees, there are some who suffer from severe conditions, such as the case of the prisoner Israa Jaabis, who suffers from burns and needs several operations, Amal Taqatqa, who's been wounded by five bullets and needs an operation to remove platinum from her leg, Iman Awar, who suffers from cancerous masses in the vocal tendons, Rawan Abu Ziadeh, who suffers from neck and stomach pain, and Nasreen Abu Kamil who suffers from hypertension, diabetes, and toe inflammation, all of them need an urgent and specialized medical follow-up for their cases.
