The Moroccan authorities had refused to authorize a protest against normalization with the occupation, which was scheduled for Monday in front of Parliament, according to local sources.
Six Moroccan associations issued a joint statement describing the move as a "dangerous development."
It considered that the official Moroccan, Arab and African regimes provide free service to the Zionist entity, at a time they must impose international sanctions on Israel.
On Thursday, Morocco’s King Mohammed VI announced the ؤontinuing of official and diplomatic relations with the occupying power as soon as possible, according to a statement issued by the royal court.
Meanwhile, he stressed that this does not in any way affect the permanent and sustained commitment of Morocco to defend the Palestinian cause, and its constructive engagement for the establishment of lasting peace in the Middle East region.
