Days of Palestine – Ramallah
The Israeli occupation forces arrested on Thursday night and at dawn Friday several Palestinian citizens in Ramallah and Jerusalem during a raid campaign.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah and re-arrested the released prisoner, Muslim Ghawanmeh, 21 years, after storming his family's home, searching it and tampering with its contents.
In Jerusalem, the Israeli police stormed at dawn Friday Anata town, in the northeast of the city, and raided several houses there, searched them, destroyed their contents and investigated their residents on the field.
Local sources reported that the Israeli police arrested Ahmed Arafat Hamdan and Muhammad Khalil Hamdan, from Anata town.
In Al-Issawiya, a Jerusalemite child was wounded by rubber-coated metal bullets fired by the Israeli soldiers in Occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that the Israeli police raided the Obaid neighborhood in Al-Issawiya, broke into several houses, and arrested the child Muhammad Daoud. Clashes erupted and the Palestinian youths confronted the Israeli police with stones and fireworks.
Clashes erupted between the Israeli police and the Palestinian citizens in the Shu’fat camp in Jerusalem, on Thursday evening. Two young Jerusalemites from the Al-Aqsa Mosque were arrested and dozens of Palestinians were injured by tear gas canisters.
Jerusalemite sources reported that the Israeli police arrested Asaad Ajaj inside Al-Aqsa Mosque after he confronted a group of Jewish settlers who stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli occupation forces climbed on top of houses of buildings and commercial complexes, pursued the youths in the streets and fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas bombs. Dozens of Palestinian youths suffered breathing difficulty, according to the sources.
The Israeli soldiers also closed shops in the main street of the Shu’fat refugee camp during their storming.
Meanwhile, the Israeli police forces stormed Al-Adhami Mosque in the Bab Al-Sahira area in Occupied Jerusalem.
The Israeli occupation targets Jerusalemites with arrests, deportation orders and fines with the aim of dissuading them from frequenting the Al-Aqsa Mosque and leaving it an easy prey for Israeli settlers.
Jerusalem recently witnessed an escalation in Israeli settler groups' incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the pretext of celebrating the Hebrew Year.
According to a periodic report issued by Hamas’s media office in West Bank, the occupation forces committed (1,575) violations against the Palestinians and their lands in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem during September.
Hebron, Jerusalem and Bethlehem provinces are the most exposed areas to Israeli violations, with (301, 289, 237) violations respectively.
