Days of Palestine – Ramallah
Palestinian prisoner Mohamed Abul Asal on Monday started an open-ended hunger strike in protest at his administrative detention.
Abul Asal, from Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho, took such step after the Israeli occupation authority decided to administratively detain him for three months instead of releasing him.
Abu Asal was supposed to be released soon after completing his 10-month term in Israeli jails.
He was kidnaped during an Israeli occupation forces raid on his home on December 11, 2019. He had been taken prisoner several times before.
