A group of Israeli thugs from the illegal settlement of Dabouyia in the occupied section of the southern West Bank city of Hebron attacked last night a Palestinian man in Shuhada Street, as shown in a video of the incident.
A lone Israeli soldier in the heavily protected area attempted to intervene but the thugs kept coming back after the Palestinian man, who was not identified, and attack him.
Palestinians who attempt to defend themselves against settlers are often shot and killed under the pretext of attacking Israelis, while the settlers who attack Palestinians and vandalize their property often get away with and are never prosecuted for their actions.
Israelis from the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba in Hebron also attacked last night Palestinian homes and vehicles nearby causing heavy damage to property, according to local sources.
Settler attacks against Palestinian civilians in the occupied section of Hebron have increased since the departure of the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) in February 2019 after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has terminated its mandate as an observer force established by a United Nations Security Council resolution in 1994 and composed of 180 members of several European countries with a mission to monitor and report on such attacks by settlers against the vulnerable and defenseless civilian Palestinian population in occupied Hebron.
