Days Of Palestine – Jenin

The Israeli occupation forces has maintained a tight siege on Ya’bad town in southern Jenin, where fierce clashes took place yesterday and continued into the dawn hours of Wednesday between local youths and soldiers.

According to local sources, two young men were injured by gunfire and many others suffered from their exposure to tear gas fumes during the events.

Following the Israeli occupation forces' withdrawal from the town, a large number of troops stormed it once again, spread through its streets and carried out new raids on homes and arrests.

They also brought two big bulldozers and encircled the area where the soldier had been killed, seemingly as a prelude to carrying out home demolitions.

During its ongoing campaign, the Israeli occupation forces kidnaped dozens of local residents, including families and 10 from the building where someone allegedly dropped a rock over the soldier’s face.

Similar clashes also broke out yesterday in the town of Qaffin near Ya’bad. One young man suffered a bullet injury in his chest and two others had rubber bullet injuries during the events, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
