Days Of Palestine – Qalqilya
A number of Palestinian citizens were wounded on Friday when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently dispersed a weekly demonstration against the settlement in Qalqilya in the West Bank.
Local sources said that the IOF heavily fired live ammunition at Palestinians demonstrating against the apartheid wall and the ongoing settlement expansion in Kafr Qaddum village in Qalqilya, injuring eight of them.
The wounded protesters were transferred to local hospitals for treatment, the sources added.
Dozens of Palestinians choked on tear gas during the attack and were treated in the field.
The residents of Kafr Qaddum stage a peaceful demonstration every week to protest Israel’s growing settlement construction on their lands and call for opening the village’s main road which has been closed for about 16 years.
