Days Of Palestine – Nablus
20 Palestinians were Wednesday morning injured by Israeli occupation army gunfire as hundreds of illegal Israeli settlers forced their way into Joseph’s Tomb near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, said local sources.
Israeli occupation forces escorted a convoy of buses packed with some 2,000 fanatic Jewish settlers into the site, located in the Palestinian-controlled area, sparking confrontations with Palestinian residents.
The sources confirmed that Israeli soldiers opened fire towards dozens of Palestinian youths who attempted to block the settlers’ incursion into the site, injuring 20 protesters.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that four were injured with rubber-coated steel bullets, while 16 others were locally treated after suffering from tear gas suffocation.
Settlers repeatedly break into Joseph’s Tomb, located in a densely Palestinian populated area in Nablus, provoking chaos and confrontation with local residents.
