At least 16 Palestinians sustained various injuries on Saturday night during clashes which erupted with Israeli forces, as the latter raided the Occupied Jerusalem neighbourhood of al-Issawiya, local sources said.

Heavily armed forces raided several shops in the neighbourhood and assaulted civlians in what seemed to be a retaliatory crackdown targeting the neighbourhood, injuring 16 of them by rubber-coated rounds, teargas or beating.

The injured, including an 8-year-old boy, were treated at the scene of the attack.
